New Cj Silas Show Time Means a New Energy

Today was the first time Cj and I had our show on Wednesday at 7 pm. We introduce a lot of new things and both of us were way more energetic now that we don't have to wake up super early on Saturdays. I think this new time is going to be a great stride for my radio career. Take a listen below

The first audio above is the bulk of the sound of me for the show. But below is me introducing one of our new segments and how I came up with the idea. Check it out

Some Extra Content

This is the promo that is playing on ESPN 1280 for the C.j. Silas show that airs on Saturdays. Take a listen below...

The audio underneath this writing is the latest To The Max post that I've created. I was really excited to make it because I had an interview to place in the podcast. However, as the night went on I started to get tired and I realized that I wasn't producing a show that I really wanted. So in conclusion I wasn't very happy with this To The Max, but I want to post in anyways just so I have some updated content.

My First Interview

Today was an awesome day for me. I finally got to do my first live sports interview. It was a lot of fun I got to talk to Eric Patten, he's a writer for NBA.com and clippers.com. I really appreciate the fact that he gave me and chance and let me ask him some questions.

That being said I was really nervous and everything was moving fast. The questions weren't the best, but overall I think I didn't do that bad of a job. Also I sound like a dick at twenty-eight seconds I say "yea" to Eric in a snobby way, but that was just because I was nervous. Hope you guys enjoy my first interview...

Thanksgiving Best of C.j. Silas Hosted By Ya Boi

I had a big opportunity this past weekend. I got the responsibility to record a best of program for the C.j. Silas show. This was so cool and something that I've never done before, so it was another realm of radio that I dove into blindly. I didn't have a lot of time to do make this show so I gathered my interviews and I did my voiceovers in around an hour. I have the entire show on this weeks sound cloud right below, I hope you enjoy it.

Nov 17 With C.j. Silas

What are you thankful for? That was the main question being asked during this weeks addition of the C.j. Silas Show. I had two segments with C.j. this time around and I can't tell you how thankful I am for that. Just to think about a year ago I thought it was impossible to get involved with radio and now I'm on the air, its unbelievable and I am truly grateful.

These two clips below don't contain a lot of sports content, but I am happy that I was able to post them because I feel like I'm finding my voice. I heard myself the last few weeks and I made some adjustments and this time around I feel like I sound clearer and a little more like myself. Still trying to get the funny out, but that will come with time.

New C.j. Silas Promo

I needed to make a general promo for the C.j. Silas Show. The old one has another producers voice on it so she wanted me to add my on flavor, introducing her show. So a few hours ago I knocked one out in studio. Let me know what you think...

Talking NBA on a Saturday with C.j. Silas live on ESPN 1280

I had to get up extra early this morning because I had to drive to the annual Straight Down Fall Classic golf tournament in San Luis Obispo. When I got there it was thirty-three degrees outside so I woke up pretty quickly. Once we got the show started eventually C.j. gave me a chance to talk and this time we broke down some recent Lakers news, specifically the Mike Brown firing. I have the audio below me here if you want to listen.

Overall it was a great day I met some people that I looked up to like Gary McCord, Fred Couples, and Ricky Barnes and at the same time I was able to continue my dream of one day being a talk show host

I love Louis CK is says it how it is and he's saying a lot of things that are related to one of my podcasts a few weeks back. This video is great and check out his other standup on there if you haven't already.
